I am a novice crafter. When I painted a wooden disc to make into a button for my daughter, the color ran as soon as she went to brush her teeth. I didn't know that water would cause the paint to run! So I did some quick researcher on an acrylic paint sealer, and discovered this product. I use it on my porch, so I can have plenty of fresh air although it is low odor. I only have to spray both sides of my project once and let it rest for 30 minutes (sometimes less depending on the size) before it is dry enough for me to handle.
