These are very nice quality. Not super heavy, probably around 65#. I have glued images printed on 80# photo paper to them and they hold up well. I mostly use images printed on brochure papers, photo papers, 24# computer paper, stickers, card stock, German Dresdens and paper scraps for my creations. They would probably work well for stamping, but if one wanted to use a lot of ink or watercolors, you should probably choose a different paper. Another pro to a lighter weight base, the more "stuff" you add, the heavier they get. A heavier weight card base might incur additional postage. I send out a lot of cards and these little gems really fit my budget. I really wanted to thank one other reviewernfor saying they used tea bag covers and canceled stamps on their cards. It has made me to start looking around for unusual things that can be used on cards. I teach cardmaking classes so I need a lot of card blanks but they need to be good quality. I took a chance and ordered 11 packs of these. They are excellent. The card is a good thickness and I noticed the envelopes were much whiter than previous ones I bought from Office Depot.
